We extensively study the influence of country expertise in cross-border merger deals by analyzing a large international sample of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals. We will research geographical proximity, cultural affinity, and local experience to analyze the market environment. We will aim at completion of a deal, while significantly decreasing the time needed to complete the deal. By these thorough analysis we will try to increase the operating performance after the deal
